2008: Eagle Press, Inc. receives Forest Stewardship Council Chain-of-Custody certification.

Commonly referred to as "FSC", the Forest Stewardship Council is a non-profit organization that encourages responsible forest management. They set and maintain high standards in order to ensure that forestry practices are environmentally responsible, socially beneficial, and economically viable.

Chain-of-Custody certification verifies the flow of certified materials from forest to end product, ensuring credibility of the FSC claim.

In order to become certified, Eagle Press was subject to a lengthy audit process. Auditors evaluated Eagle Press' procedures to ensure that the integrity of the FSC certified product flow will not be compromised.

More information about the Forest Stewardship Council can be found on their website located at www.fscus.org.

2004: Production with the new Halm Jet Press has begun! Halm's Jet Press is the fastest around. Its 3" diameter cylinders give a printing area of up to 9" x 12", allowing to print full bleed on the front of the document, even when running the maximum size through the standard single feeder. With the ability to perfect, the Jet Press enables both sides of the envelope to be printed in one pass. Capable of speeds up to 60,000 envelopes per hour, this will greatly improve Eagle Press's capacity for high volume printing.

2001: The company adds a second shift to its operation and in August reveals it's new BPS(Business Practice Software) that provides customers with even more detailed information about their account. With the increase in production efficiency Eagle currently has, the expansion continues...

2000: In perhaps the company's boldest move forward with technology, Eagle Press entered into an agreement with another printing company to develop an on-line ordering system. Using core technology from a California based software company, Eagle Press and it's partner helped to develop what is now the leading software in the industry. The business reacts strongly to this new software and Eagle Press grows at an even more rapid pace.

1997: Eagle Press continues it's rapid growth with the construction of its latest building, a brand new split face block facility that currently houses most of Eagle's sophisticated computer and printing equipment. George Weatherly decides to retire and takes with him over 20 years of hard work and dedication to the company. Without his help in the beginning, Eagle Press would not be the strong company it is today. The efficiencies of a bigger building allows Eagle Press to continue to move forward and stay on top of all the latest technologies to keep it's customers on the leading edge. The company also adds related stationery products to its line with personalized letterhead, envelopes, memo pads, note cards, and address labels.

1991: Eagle Press moves from the Quickprint location after George Weatherly sells his commercial printing business. The company then moves basically across the street into a 1930's circa brick building that has approximately 3,800 square feet of space. At that time the business had attracted Rocky Mount's two largest banks and one well known bank in Durham, NC. Over the next 5 years Eagle Press continued to print only business cards but also earned the reputation of being an innovative printer. Eagle Press was the first company of it's kind to install Direct-to-Plate technology and was one of only 6 beta locations for Pitney Bowes' sophisticated shipping software. Many new companies were attracted to Eagle's short turnaround and excellent customer service, which allowed for their next move.

1989: Eagle Press, Inc. begins with humble beginnings in a small room in the back of a small Quickprint printing company owned by George and Lane Weatherly. With one employee and one press, Lane and his Uncle decided that by concentrating on one product the company could be more efficient and productive. That product, printed business cards, became the sole focus of Eagle Press for the next ten years.
